Experience report from our trainee
Thanks to Erasmus+, I had the wonderful opportunity to complete a three-week internship abroad in Cuenca, Spain. The city impresses with its beautiful old town and the famous hanging houses, which give it a unique flair. During my internship, I worked in a Spanish kindergarten, where I gained an insight into the administration and management of a kindergarten, as well as valuable experience of working with children.
A particularly enriching part of my stay was the time I spent with a welcoming host family. This type of accommodation allowed me to gain a deeper insight into Spanish culture and everyday life. I experienced the hospitality of the Spanish people first hand and was able to enjoy traditional dishes that introduced me to the diversity and richness of Spanish cuisine.
Every day I had three hours of Spanish lessons at the language school “Trivium Cuenca”, which helped me to deepen and improve my Spanish. At the weekends, I explored the fascinating cities of Madrid, Valencia and Alicante together with other trainees from the vocational school.
These intensive insights into Spanish culture and life in Spain were extremely valuable and broadened my perspective.
I would like to thank HORN for this great opportunity!
